In areas with irregularities or high absorption, a thicker application of primer paint is necessary to ensure sufficient bonding between the surfaces.
Step 3: Level The Foundation
It is essential to level the concrete foundation using specialized mortar to prevent water pooling, moss formation, and potential impacts on the durability of the court, affecting both training and gameplay.
Once the foundation is leveled, it is necessary to sand the surface to enhance adhesion for the topcoat paint layer.
STEP 4: APPLY THE SURFACE TOPCOAT PAINT TO THE BASKETBALL COURT
You can use a paint roller or a spray gun to apply the surface topcoat to the basketball court. It is recommended to apply the paint in 2 to 3 coats to ensure the court meets the standards, with each coat spaced 4 to 6 hours apart.
During the painting process, it’s crucial to adhere to proper techniques, including following guidelines, using the correct paint mixing ratios, and employing proper rolling techniques.
Step 5: Mark The Court Lines
The court lines need to be executed with care, precision, and meticulous attention. White or yellow paint can be used to highlight the lines.
